We are dedicated to trying to capture the nude human figure on paper - Artists of all levels and abilities are welcome! We meet in the upstairs 3000 sq. ft. studio of The Art Stop, located at 1822 Penfield Road, Penfield, NY 14526.The Studio can handle up to 30 artists - 12 work stations in the form of a drawing horse-style bench as well as adjustable easels and tables with chairs. We provide drawing boards and personal lighting for your use in the studio or you are always welcome to bring your own. Artists should bring their own paper and drawing medium and/or come early and get these at The Art Stop prior to a session.Currently we rotate thru 15 male and female models of all shapes and sizes to give variety to the artists to study and capture in artistic form. For $10 you can spend the day up in our large studio with other artists. Bring whatever supplies you want except for solvents and use the tables and/or easels, kitchen and bathrooms.

This class will cover the design and creation of a vignette painting in watercolor. Thevignette is an entertaining way of creating a painting not only for the painter but forthe viewer. Vignettes are thought to have some sparkle even though they lookun*nished. There are some basic rules to be applied and an understanding of somebrushwork, but the overall process is not complicated. Vignettes do not have acenter of interest so right away we don't have to worry about what the painting isabout. With an understanding of texture, color, and value, vignette paintings arequite simple.In the morning, Paul will explain in detail the important facets of this painting anddemonstrate the di/erent details to be considered. In the afternoon, the paintingbegins while Paul leads you step by step to completion. Later, a brief evaluation ofthe work done in class takes place.This workshop will convert the church painting to a vignette using the principlesoutlined.Materials List:
Watercolor supplies – Limited paletteWC PAPER: Arches 140 lb Cold Pressed. Two pieces 11 x 15. (1/2 sheet cut in half)PAINT: Bring tubes of paint, not pans or dried out paint. This is most important. We will usethree colors.Prussian Blue, Cadmium Red Light, Cad Yellow MediumBRUSHES: FLATS: ½”, ¾”, 1”1-1/2” ROUNDS: 6, #8, #10. Also, a #4, Liner brush.PALETTE: The better palette has a cover, and a generous mixing area. A white ceramic platewill suffice foregoing a palette.PAPER SUPPORT PANEL: 16” x 23”. Nonabsorbent. The best materials are Plexiglas orsealed wood. Another option is a 16 x 23 painting panel for oils, no canvas.CLIPS: Four (4) “Bulldog” clips or large stationary clips. No tape is necessaryOTHER INCIDENTALS :- Paper towels

Open Enrollment Alcohol Inks on Tile Workshop
Saturday 5/24/25 3:00-5:00Using alcohol inks we will show you a variety of techniques to create your own beautiful tiles. Warning, it is addictive! Great "girls night out or couples event". Every tile will be uniquely yours! All materials are included, tiles, alcohol inks, tools and instruction! This is a lot of fun! You definitely do not have to be an artist to do this, but you will get creative! You can also schedule your group of 8 or more, and get the workshop and date convenient for your group!
You can bring your own wine, beer and other refreshments.
$35 open enrollment, sign up today, minimum of 8 required to run workshop.

Join Carole Agosto to create this beautiful look in watercolor pen & watercolor wash Students will learn to draw objects to form a landscapes by using pen and adding watercolor to bring the picture to life. Students will improve their skills, and learn how to mix colors. A printed photos will be provided for students. We will work from a variety of subject matters such as buildings and, landscapes, etc. There will be a demonstration during the workshop. Beginner to Intermediate are welcome.
