Watercolor Workshop – Paul Allen Taylor
September 27th 2025, 9:30-4:30
Cost $80
In this workshop, students will paint an 11 x 15 landscape guided by thisvalue sketch. When working with value (the light and dark of color) one canbetter clarify the shapes and important parts of a painting. (Color does notyield value) Using a limited palette of Red Yellow and Blue abbreviates themixing of colors. The color names are Aliz. Crimson, Cad Yellow Mediumand Ultra Marine Blue. The workshop opens with a brief plan discussion of the painting approachand color choices. (As Paul has not painted this subject, he will talk aboutoptions to consider when beginning a painting). Afterward, Paul guides youin the drawing process until we are certain it’s ready for painting. After alunch break, we will all paint together in the afternoon. Paul will explainand demonstrate his damp paper method as well. During the paintingprocess, he will stop, you work and then he continues and so on.See the supplies list for specific items.Watercolor supplies – Limited palette- Lighthouse Landscape
